The Old Barossa Blend
A blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Shiraz grown at
Williamstown in the Barossa Valley. After fermenting in open fermenters as separate parcels of fruit, each wine was transferred to 100% pre-used French oak hogsheads and aged for 12 months before bottling without filtering or fining.
The wine is a deep red purple with aromas of cherry and strawberry from the Grenache component.
The Shiraz contributes a firm tannin finish to the structure along with palate length. A great wine with food.
